#936 On Undying Grief

They say “Life begins at 40”
And I ask myself, “If this is true,
does that mean that life never began
for my brothers?”
    What does it mean
    to be taken away from your loved ones
    at 30? or 35?
They say “Life is for the living”
And that tautology never made sense
to me
    Where does it say that
    Death is only for the dying?
    He comes for all of us
Like He came for both of you
Cruel, heartless Death
    He took you away and left only
    Unfathomable unreasonable undying
    Grief.
